Gary Lane Beatty

Gary Lane Beatty, 86, of New Castle, passed away on December 6, 2022.  He was born on July 23, 1936 in Wilkinson to the late Webb and Sylvia (Anderson) Beatty.

Gary served his country in the U.S. Air National Guard.  He retired from Uni Press in Tampa, Florida after 20 years of service.  He was a member of the Cornerstone Church in New Castle and the Knightstown American Legion.  Gary was an avid outdoorsman.  He enjoyed hunting, fishing and camping.  He loved his dogs and was a long time Tampa Bay Buccaneers fan.

He is survived by his wife, Phyllis Jean (Stockton) Beatty of New Castle and his first wife, Freda Beatty of Knightstown; children, Wade (Peggy) Beatty of Knightstown, Doyle (Penny) Beatty of Knightstown, Scott Pugh of Knightstown, Judy Manning of New Castle; grandchildren, Carla (Joshua) Counceller, Jamie Beatty, Shane (Danielle) Benjamin, Sean Benjamin; great grandchildren, Elijah and Lilian Counceller and Vinson Benjamin; sister, Bonita Beatty and several nieces and nephews.

Gary was preceded in death by his siblings, Roberta Hanna, Gleeta Scarborough, Donna Tell, Gene Beatty, Doyle Beatty; grandson, Adam Beatty and son in-law, Melvin Manning Jr.

A graveside service will be held on Saturday, December 10, 2022 at 11:00 am at McCray Cemetery in Wilkinson with military honors.

In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Condo & St. Pierre Funeral Service & Crematory, PO Box 115, Wilkinson, IN 46186 for the family.
