Gary Alan Pelsue

Gary Alan Pelsue, 68, Lapel, passed away in his sleep Tuesday, September 18, 2018, at his home.He was born on August 17, 1950, in St. Louis, Missouri to William and Anna (Loys) Wondell Pelsue.Gary was graduated from North Central High School in 1968 and received a bachelors degree from Indiana Wesleyan in 2003.He retired in 2015 from Best Lock in Indianapolis after 39 years of employment.Gary was a member of Westfield Friends Church and was an eagle scout. He was an avid corvette and car enthusiast and was the ultimate do-it-yourselfer. He was very interested in health and fitness and enjoyed nature, animals and music. Gary loved Lapel and cared very much about his community.He is survived by his wife of 36 years, Nancy (Barker); six children, Amanda (husband, Joe) Vermilya, Aaron (wife, Emily) Pelsue, David Pelsue (Adrienne Harlow), Andrew (wife, Jenny) Pelsue, Paul Pelsue (wife, Emily Gable), and Emily Pelsue (fianc, William Lafferty); five grandchildren, Posey, Glory, Milo, Mya, and Ruby and one on the way; two brothers, Billy Pelsue and David Pelsue.Gary was preceded in death by his parents.A funeral service will be held at 11:00 AM on Saturday, September 22, 2018, at Scott E. Hersberger Funeral Home, 1010 North Main Street, Lapel.Visitation will be from 3:00 PM to 8:00 PM Friday, September 21, 2018, at Scott E. Hersberger Funeral Home, 1010 North Main Street, Lapel.In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Lapel Food Pantry, P. O. Box 626, Lapel, Indiana 46051-0626.
