G. Gene Brundage

G. Gene Brundage, 83, of Anderson, passed away July 4, 2015 at St. Vincent Anderson Regional Hospital.

He was born June 1, 1932, in Anderson to the late Charles and Martha (Tranbarger) Brundage and lived here all of his life. He graduated from Anderson High School and served in the US Army.

On September 4, 1955 Gene married Joyce Hise. He retired from Delco-Remy in April 1992. He was a member of UAW Local #662, the Eagles club, the VFW Honor Guard, and the International Association of Laryngectomy. He served as County Veteran’s Service Officer, Civil Defense Director and as a precinct committeeman.

He is survived by his wife of 59 years, Joyce Brundage; children, Gina L. (Dale) Dreger of Anderson, Brenda G. (Garry) Hill of Anderson, Tamara L. Brundage-Day of Middletown and Eric F. (Susan) Brundage of Texas; grandchildren, Aaron Dreger, Alycia Dreger, Sarah Jarvis, Maggie Downham, Joshua Golden, Paige Morgan and C.J. Day; great-grandchildren, Alexis, Ethan, Cheyanne, Ella and Ryit; brother Don Brundage of Maine; sister Ruth Ann Owens of Texas; and several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents; brothers, Charles, John and Robert Brundage; and sisters, Martha Jaffee and Sarah Upshaw.

Services will be 6 p.m. Thursday at the Brown-Butz-Diedring Funeral Service & Crematory officiated by Pastor Ed Hyatt and Pastor Garry Hill.

Visitation will be 4 to 6 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.
