Fred “Bubby” W. Steffler, Jr. 62, of Anderson, passed away February 15, 2015 at St. Vincent Anderson Regional Hospital after a sudden illness.
He was born January 29, 1953, in Anderson, the son of Fred and Pauline (Brown) Steffler, Sr. and was a life long Anderson resident. He graduated from Madison Heights High School and retired in 2013 from the Anderson City Street Department where he also served as a union steward.
He is survived by his father, Fred W. Steffler, Sr.; his long time companion and significant other, Nancy Williams; his daughter, Paula Jo (Terry) Golday; his son, Gregory (Devan) Steffler; step son, Tony (Shellie) Marsh; all of Anderson; two sisters, Penny Boner of Anderson and Vicki Rudd of Greenfield; grandchildren, Alan Golday, Terry L. Golday, Hank Steffler, Quentin Steffler, Austin Allman and Blade Corbin; one great grandson Urijah Golday; several step grandchildren and several step great grandchildren; two nieces and one nephew.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Pauline Steffler; maternal grandparents, Dewey and Marie Brown; Paternal grandparents, Frank and Helen (Jones) Steffler; step sons, Tim Marsh and Kevin Marsh; brother-in-law, Paul Boner.
Services will be 1:00 p.m. Thursday at Brown-Butz-Diedring Funeral Service & Crematory. Burial will be in Grovelawn Cemetery in Pendleton.
Visitation will be 6-8 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.
