Frank E. Fincher

Frank E. "Pete" Fincher, 83, Anderson, passed away Monday, October 1, 2012, at his home following a brief illness. He was born on September 29, 1929, in Elwood, Indiana to Alfred and Ellen (Hudson) Fincher. He served in the Indiana National Guard from 1947 to 1956. Pete was a Teamster and an operator engineer. He was a member of the Lapel American Legion Post 212 and the Lapel Eagles Aerie 4313. He is survived by three children, Arlyn T. (wife, Deb) Fincher of Anderson, Wray Jean Fincher of Anderson, and Toby S. (wife, Kelly) Fincher of Lapel; four grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; one brother, Lonny (wife, Bonnie) Fincher of Carmel; an uncle, Bob (wife, Nancy) Hudson of Poland; a special friend, Kim Debono and her son, Cameron; and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Nadine (Steele) Fincher; a daughter, Candas S. Fincher; one brother, Kenny Fincher; and two sisters, Catherine Terrell and Carolyn Lee. Visitation will be from 5:00 pm to 8:00 pm Wednesday, October 3, 2012, at Scott E. Hersberger Funeral Home, 1010 North Main Street, Lapel. Private burial services will take place at Brookside Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to American Cancer Society.
