Mr. Francis “Gene” Eugene Jordan

Francis “Gene” Eugene Jordan, 84, passed away Sunday, December 17, 2017, at St. Vincent Anderson Regional. He was born July 27, 1933, in Hancock County to the late Francis & Violet Luella (Jackson) Jordan. He lived in Shirley and Markleville all his life. Gene owned and operated the Cozy Corner in Markleville for almost 30 years. He had also worked for Delco Remy for 15 years. Gene was a member of Shirley Christian Church. He was also a member of the Moose Lodge in Anderson and the Eagles in New Castle, both for 30 years. He was a also a member of the Markleville Masonic Lodge #629 F. & A.M. He is survived by his sister, Phyllis Kay Hedrick; children, Ruth House of Willow Branch, Donald (wife, Judy) Jordan of Willow Branch, and Pamela Marine of Arlington, IN; grandchildren, Russel Parke, Jacqueline Parke, Bryon Jordan, Jeremiah Gabbard & Noah Gabbard; special friend, Ellen Smith; and several nieces, nephews, and cousins. Memorial services will be conducted at 1:00 on Friday, December 29 at Condo & St. Pierre Funeral Service & Crematory, officiated by Gary Sickle. Burial to follow at McCray Cemetery. Visitation will be an 11:00 a.m. until time of services at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to St. Jude Children’s Hospital or to Shirley Christian Church.
