Frances Lorraine Balser Light

Frances Lorraine Balser Light, 92, Lapel, passed away Tuesday, August 18, 2009, at Rawlins House in Pendleton following an extended illness.
She was born on March 5, 1917, in Coles County, Illinois to Charles and Nellie (Story) DeWitt.
Lorraine had been employed at Brockway Glass in Lapel and did alterations at Hoyt Wright and Goehrings both in Anderson.
She was a member of the Trinity United Methodist Church; and the Lapel American War Mothers.
She is survived by her son, Curtis (wife, Sheila) Balser of Lapel; her step-son, Robert (wife, Sue) Light of Huntsville, AL two grandchildren, Jacinda McClintock of Lapel, and A. J. (wife, Amy) Balser of Lapel; and one great-granddaughter, Delaney Balser.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her first husband, Russell C. Balser; and her second husband, Robert L. Light.
Funeral service will be held at 10:30 am Friday, August 21, 2009, at Scott E. Hersberger Funeral Home in Lapel with Pastor Doug Barton officiating. Burial will follow in Brookside Cemetery, Lapel.
Visitation will be from 4:00 pm to 8:00 pm Thursday, August 20, 2009, at Scott E. Hersberger Funeral Home, 1010 North Main Street, Lapel.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the charity of the donor's choice.
