Ms. Frances Arlene Faulkenberg

Arlene Faulkenberg, 88, passed away Friday, February 17, 2017, at her residence. She was born October 1, 1928, in Anderson to the late, Russell & Mary (Russell) Shaul. She attended Anderson High School before being a homemaker. Arlene attended Lone Oak Wesleyan Church. She was adventurous in younger years but was always fun loving. She enjoyed playing Euchre and Farkle, but most of all spending time with her grandchildren. She is survived by her children, Terry (Sue Tarvin) Pruitt, David (wife, Polly) Pruitt, and Susan (husband, Tim) Rogers; brothers, Melvin & Jerry Shaul; grandchildren, Terry (Amber Layne) Pruitt, Jr., Glenn Pruitt, Jamie (Nancy DeGraff) Pruitt, Kim (husband, Eddie) O’Dell, Heidi (Nick Ooley) Yurack, Dean (wife, Amber) Pruitt, Kevin (wife, Tracy) Rogers, & Clark (Melissa Slaven) Rogers; 22 great grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. Arlene was preceded in death by her husband, James “Jack” Faulkenberg; brothers, Kenneth & Duane Shaul; sister, Marilyn Denman; grandson, Dyke Pruitt; and nephew, Russ Denman. Services will be at 10:00 a.m. Wednesday, February 22, at Brown-Butz-Diedring Funeral Service & Crematory, with Pastor John Hackney officiating. Burial will be in Grove Lawn Cemetery. Visitation will be from 4-8 p.m. Tuesday, February 21, at the funeral home, and an hour prior to the services.
