Frances A. Burke, 90, Noblesville, passed away Tuesday, August 30, 2011, at Riverview Hospital in Noblesville following a brief illness.
She was born on September 6, 1920, in Hamilton County, Indiana to Leon and Marie (Moore) Anderson.
She graduated from Lapel High School in 1937.
Frances retired in 1978 from the former Guide Lamp division of General Motors in Anderson.
She was a member of Prairie Baptist Church, Noblesville.
She is survived by two daughters, Patti (husband, David) Woods of Anderson, and Cheryl (husband, Larry) Miller of Noblesville (formerly of Middletown); one step-daughter, Lana (husband, Greg) Beaudoin of Cadillac, MI; one brother, Dwight Anderson of Noblesville; four granddaughters, Lynley (husband, Destry) Bourke, Alyssa Woods, Jennifer Miller, and Jillian (husband, Ben) Michalak; two step-grandchildren, Matthew (wife, Nathalie) Dykstra and Dawn (husband, Andrew) Karlsen; two great-grandchildren, Ian Anderson Dove and Emarie Dove; and four step-great-grandchildren, Sofia and Gabrielle Rose Dykstra, and Graham and Lyla Carlson.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Emory "Jay" Burke; a brother, Robert Anderson; and a step-great-granddaughter, Jasmine Dykstra.
A funeral service will be held at 2:00 pm Friday, September 2, 2011, at Scott E. Hersberger Funeral Home in Lapel with Rev. Russell Irwin officiating. Burial will follow in Prairie Memorial Cemetery, Noblesville.
Visitation will be from 4:00 pm to 8:00 pm Thursday, September 1, 2011, at Scott E. Hersberger Funeral Home, 1010 Main Street, Lapel.
