Forest Lynn Wainscott

Forest Lynn Wainscott, 61, Lapel, passed away Thursday, March 5, 2009, at his residence following an 18 month battle with cancer.
He was born on November 12, 1947, in Elwood, Indiana to Forest and Nilah (Girton) Wainscott.
He graduated from Lapel High School in 1966.
Lynn was employed by Reynolds Farm Equipment in Fishers for 38 years.
He was a member of Ford Street United Methodist Church in Lapel and had served on the Lapel Town Council the past ten years and also served on the Lapel Planning Commission
He is survived by his wife of 29 years, Debra Wainscott; four children, Nathan (wife, Stacy ) Wainscott of Lapel, Jeff Wainscott of Westfield, Leslie (husband, Brad) Manbeck of Westfield, and Andrea (husband, T. J.) Houghtalen of Noblesville; six grandchildren, Jacob and Benjamin Wainscott, Katie and Eli Manbeck, and Ashley and Tyler Houghtalen; one brother, David (wife, Cyndy) Wainscott of Cicero; three sisters, Mary (husband, Sam) Molter of Kentland, Kay (husband, Butch) Griffith of Noblesville, and Jean (husband, Larry) Fleming of Indianapolis; an uncle, Ted Wainscott of Anderson; and several nieces, nephews, and cousins.
He was preceded in death by his parents; one brother, Michael F. Wainscott.
Funeral service will be held at 11:00 am Monday, March 9, 2009, at Scott E. Hersberger Funeral Home in Lapel with Rev. Mark Helm officiating. Burial will follow in Brookside Cemetery, Lapel.
Visitation will be from 2:00 pm to 8:00 pm Sunday, March 8, 2009, at Scott E. Hersberger Funeral Home, 1010 North Main Street, Lapel.
