Forest "Bud" E. Reeves

Forest "Bud" E. Reeves, 91, of Shirley passed away Wednesday, February 19, 2025 at his residence with his family by his side.

He was born December 16, 1933 in Shirley, the son of the late Odis Clinton and Pearl (Miller) Reeves.

Bud married the love of his life Eva on February 17, 1956. He retired from Delco-Remy in Anderson after forty and a half years of service. He was a member of the Shirley Christian Church and proudly served his country in the United States Navy. Bud loved to mow grass on his John Deere mower, play cards, wood working, pitching for kick ball. He also owned a race car and loved talking to people.

He is survived by his children, Dee (Bob) Lowe of Shirley, Mike (Darlene) Reeves of Greenfield, and Mark (Tina) Reeves of Markleville; grandchildren, Travis (Ashley), Randy (Stephanie), Michelle (Derek), Kellie (Scott), Kaitlin (Kraig) and Megan;great grandchildren, Olivia, Nicholas, Addilyn, Eric, Sara, Leon, Lincoln and Lyla.

He was preceded in death by his parents and wife.

Funeral Service will be Monday, February, 24, 2025 at 11:00 AM at Bozell Funeral Homes-Condo Chapel in Wilkinson with Kevin Powell officiating. Burial will follow at McCray Cemetery in Wilkinson. Visitation will be Sunday, February 23, 2025 from 1-4 PM at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to the Shirley Fire Department.
