Floyd R. “Bob” Fesmire, 75, of Markleville, passed away November 2, 2019 at his residence. He was born June 20, 1944 in Anderson, the son of the late Floyd Max & Helen G. (Craig) Fesmire.On October 18, 1964 Bob married the former Linda Wilkins and together they raised their sons Eric and David. He retired from Delco-Remy in 1999 after working in production and later as a Quality Control Consultant, but his primary calling was in farming. He was a Past Master of the Ovid Masonic Lodge #164 and also served as Treasurer for many years. He was Past Patron of the Markleville Order of the Eastern Star #363. Bob was also an Endowment member of the National Rifle Association and was involved in teaching many NRA sanctioned classes on firearm safety and handloading. He was a life member of the Fall Creek Conservation Club and was recognized for his work in helping to implement safety improvements to the rifle range there. He also competed in High-Power and Small-bore matches.Bob loved spending time with his family, hunting, shooting and many wonderful times traveling around the country with Linda.In addition to his wife, Linda, he is survived by his sons, Eric (Abbie) Fesmire of Markleville and David Fesmire of Pendleton; grandsons, Brock, Jacob and Sean Fesmire; granddaughters, Olivia and Aubrey Laird; sister, Sandra (Garfield) Greathouse of Markleville; niece, Garlene Greathouse; and nephew, Tim Greathouse.He was preceded in death by his parents.A memorial gathering will be held 1:00pm – 4:00pm Sunday at Wilson St. Pierre Funeral Service & Crematory – Lahm Chapel with a Masonic Service at 3:30 pm.
