F Jean Brown

F. Jean Brown, 77, Anderson, passed away Friday, December 31, 2004, at Brandywine Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Greenfield following a brief illness.
She was born on January 14, 1927, in Madison County, Indiana to Norman and Ada (Markle) Scott. She retired in 1987 from the U. S. Post Office and she had worked in post offices in Lapel and Florida. She had established the Merle Norman Cosmetic Studio in the original Ayr-Way shopping center. She was a member of Trinity United Methodist Church in Lapel, the Madison County Shrine Club Ladies Auxiliary, the Lapel American Legion Auxiliary and she was a volunteer at Community Hospital in Anderson. She is survived by two sons, Brock (wife, Rhonda) Brown of Fortville, and Brad (wife, Bonnie) Brown of Elwood; two brothers, Larry (wife, Laurie) Scott of Anderson, and Bill (wife, Leda) Scott of Indianapolis; one sister, Judy (husband, Gayl) Sheets of Lapel; five grandchildren, Brittany Brown, Zachary Brown, Brandy Brown, Mandy Brown, and Kelsey Brown; and one great grandson, Joel Brown. She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert F. Brown in 2001. Services will be held at 10:00 AM Tuesday at Scott E. Hersberger Funeral Home in Lapel with Rev. Evan Lash officiating. Burial will be at the Brookside Cemetery, Lapel. Friends may call from 2:00 PM to 8:00 PM Monday at the Scott E. Hersberger Funeral Home in Lapel. Memorial contributions may be made to the Music Appreciation Fund at Trinity United Methodist Church, the Lapel American Legion, or the Madison County Shrine Club Van Fund.
