F. Ann Lewis

F. Ann Lewis, 81, Lapel, passed away Saturday, August 10, 2013, at Countryside Manor in Anderson following a brief illness. She was born on March 21, 1932, in Lebanon, Indiana to Norman and Evelyn (Batts) McIntire. She graduated from Middletown High School in 1950. Ann retired in 1997 from the Noblesville Public Library where she had worked as the Bookmobile driver. She was a member of the Ford Street United Methodist Church in Lapel and she had served at the Lapel Food Pantry. She met her special group of friends at the Cracker Barrel every Friday morning. She was a dedicated wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. She is survived by three children, Daniel (wife, Melanie) Lewis of Lapel, Dee (husband, Mark) Rice of Chattanooga, TN, and Jack (wife, Lori) Lewis of Anderson; five grandchildren, Bryan Lewis, Casey Lewis, Jaime (husband, Jeff) Sandefur, Jared (wife, Kim) Hudson, and Jayla Lewis; seven great-grandchildren, Gibson Lewis, Hudson, Carson and Reid Sandefur, Gavin, Grant, and Taylor Hudson; one sister, Nancy Fleming of California; and a brother, Dale McIntire of Los Angeles, CA. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband of 51 years, William "Bill" Lewis; one brother Bruce McIntire; and a sister, Mary Lou Harless. A funeral service will be held at 11:00 am Tuesday, August 13, 2013, at Scott E. Hersberger Funeral Home in Lapel with Pastor Steve Holdzkom officiating. Burial will follow in Brookside Cemetery, Lapel. Visitation will be from 4:00 pm to 8:00 pm Monday, August 12, 2013, at Scott E. Hersberger Funeral Home, 1010 North Main Street, Lapel. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Ford Street United Methodist Church Building Fund, P. O. Box 626, Lapel, Indiana 46051-0626.
