Evelyn E. Coahran

Evelyn E. (Jones) Coahran, 75, Anderson, passed away Saturday, October 29, 2011, at Saint Vincent Heart Hospital in Carmel following a brief illness. She was born on December 26, 1935, in Effingham, Illinois to Clinton and Nina (Babbs) Jones. She graduated from Effingham High School. Evelyn enjoyed cooking and devoted her life to taking care of others. She is survived by her husband of 56 years, C. Blaine Coahran; a daughter, Becky Cantrell of Pendleton; one granddaughter, Ginny Cantrell of Pendleton; and five grandsons, Jeremy Coahran of Anderson; Jason Coahran of Anderson; Andy Ryan Coahran, Josh Coahran, and Chris Coahran; two close great grandchildren Chaston and Bekah and several other great grandchildren; one sister Marillyn (husband, Bob) Hockman of Quincy, IL; two brothers Lee Jones of Missouri and Dale (wife, Margarette) Jones of Houston, Texas; and several nieces and nephews. She also is survived by her special companion Pixie. She was preceded in death by her parents; and a son Andy D. Coahran as well as seven older siblings. Funeral will be held at 1:00 pm Wednesday, November 2, 2011, at Scott E. Hersberger Funeral Home in Lapel with Pastor Bill Hilligoss officiating. Burial will follow in Brookside Cemetery, Lapel. Visitation will be from 11:00am to 1:00pm Wednesday, November 2, 2011, at Scott E. Hersberger Funeral Home, 1010 North Main Street, Lapel.
