Eva M. Garner

Eva M. Garner, 89, of Anderson, died April 28, 2015 at her home following an extended illness.

Born September 5, 1925 in Pulaski County, KY., she was the daughter of the late George and Rhoda (Burton) Gill. She was a member of Seline Baptist Church in Nancy, KY.

Eva loved life and her family. She was a ball of fire, and loved to laugh and talk on the phone. She liked to work in her yard, read her Bible and play Yatzee.

Survivors include her two sons, Johnny P. (Claudette) Garner and Kevin (Belinda Bowling) Garner, all of Anderson; eight grandchildren, Johnny R. (Colleen) Garner, Shelly (Rich) Leisure, Danny (Sherry) Garner, Melissa (Jeff) Sutton, Ember (Chuck) Whitaker, Brett (Heather) Chambers, Nicole Nelson and Shawn Garner; 14 great grandchildren; one great-great grandchild; one special niece, Phyllis McKay; and special friend, Allen Collins.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Paul Garner; son, Davey Garner; five brothers; one sister; and one granddaughter.

The family would like to thank Pam, Susan and Rob from Community Home Health for the wonderful care of our Mom.

Services will be conducted at 1 p.m. Friday at Brown-Butz-Diedring Funeral Service & Crematory with Brother Ron Halbert officiating. Burial will take place to Anderson Memorial Park Cemetery.

Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.
