Eula (Phares) Sylvester

Eula (Phares) Sylvester, 92, of Anderson, passed away on October 24, 2019. She was born in Burkesville, KY on February 22, 1927 the daughter of the late James and Bertha Belle (Hagan) Phares. Eula came to the Anderson area in 1953. She worked at Guide Lamp for seventeen years, retiring in 1971. She married her husband, Lawrence in 1968. She was preceded in death by her parents; sixteen siblings; and her husband who died in 2000. Remaining to cherish her memory are step-children, Judy (Doug) Barron, Larry Brent (Chris) Sylvester, Celia (Bill) Cox and Nancy (Ron) DeSantos; eight grandchildren; and thirteen great-grandchildren. In her retirement years Eula spent many hours sewing, quilting and spending time with family and friends. She was a member of Central Christian Church. A private graveside service has been planned at Anderson Memorial Park Cemetery. Memorial Contributions may be made to Central Christian Church.
