Ethel F. Green, 73, Lapel, passed away Tuesday, August 22, 2006, at her daughter's residence in Anderson following an extended illness.
She was born on January 6, 1933, in Brooks, Alberta, Canada to Fay and Linda (Cook) Howell. She came to live in the states when she was 14 years old. She was a homemaker.
She was a Lapel High School graduate was a member of the former Madison County Homemakers Club.
She is survived by two sons, Forest "Woody" (wife, Pam) Green of Fishersburg, and Hilbert "Tex" Green (Jerry Dowell) of Indianapolis; two daughters, Leslie Edwards (Ron Davis) of Anderson, and Rosalind Lynn (Randy Cleary) of Anderson; one brother, Ernest "Butch" Howell of Lapel; eleven grandchildren, Forest "Chip" Green, Corey Green, Stacy Green, Chance Green, Lee Edwards, Joel Edwards, Ryan Edwards, Jessica Slayton, Jimmy Lynn, Jasmine Hamilton, and Brandon Wayne Chrisman; sixteen great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Hilbert Green.
Services will be held at 1:00 PM Friday at Scott E. Hersberger Funeral Home in Lapel with Rev. Claude Creel officiating. Burial will be at the Brookside Cemetery in Lapel.
Friends may call from 4:00 PM 8:00 PM Thursday at the Scott E. Hersberger Funeral Home in Lapel. Memorial contributions may be made to the family through the funeral home.
