Emma Lou Fulton

Emma Lou Fulton, 89, Anderson, passed away Wednesday, February 3, 2016, at Hope Hospice in Cape Coral, Florida following a brief illness.

She was born on October 6, 1926, in Hamilton County, Indiana to Leo and Emma (Bolander) Green.

She graduated from Lapel High School in 1944 and received a medical technologist degree in 1946 Minneapolis School of Medical Technology.

Emma Lou worked as a medical technologist at Reid Memorial Hospital in Richmond as well as Riverview Hospital in Noblesville.

She was a very active member of the Perkinsville Community Church where she held many positions through the years. She was co-founder of the Madison County Ostomy Association and was active in the Charleston Commons neighborhood association.

She is survived by two children, Karla (husband, Steve) Gentry of Anderson and Mark (wife, Kathy) Fulton of Haiti; five grandchildren, Kristen (husband, Justin) Burnau of North Carolina, Matthew (wife, Allison) Telfer of Anderson, Kelsi Fulton of Nashville, TN, Grant (wife, Rachel) Fulton of Anderson, Mitch Fulton of Anderson; eight great-grandchildren; one brother, Willis "Wid" (wife, Wanda) Green of Strawtown; one sister, Anna Marie Martin of Kentucky; and several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband of 66 years, Billie Max Fulton.

A funeral service will be held at 10:30 am Monday, February 8, 2016, at Scott E. Hersberger Funeral Home in Lapel with Rev. Mark Aleshire officiating. Burial will follow in Brookside Cemetery, Lapel.

Visitation will be from 1:00 pm to 4:00 pm Sunday, February 7, 2016, at Scott E. Hersberger Funeral Home, 1010 North Main Street, Lapel.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Mission Haiti Medical, Inc., P. O. Box 2252, Anderson, Indiana 46018.
