ANDERSON- Emma Imogene (Bookout) Teeters, 85, of Marion, passed away on March 11, 2017 at Riverview Hospital in Noblesville. She was born on August 3, 1931 in Lawrence County, Arkansas to the late Earl and Lora (Jackson) Bookout. Emma was a homemaker. She was a member of the Northeast Church of God in Marion, and the Marine League Toy for Tots. She loved animals and was a doll collector and member of the Cabbage Patch Collector’s Club. She is survived by her husband, James Teeters of Marion; daughters, Penny (Ray) Hiner of New Castle, Kelly (William) Fields of Atlanta, Georgia; grandchildren, Jessica (Carl) Marlett, Riley Fields, and Kyle Fields; great-grandchildren, Clara and Annabelle Marlett; siblings, JoAnn Williams, Ann (Dwain) Jones both of Walnut Ridge, Arkansas; several nieces and nephews, and many special friends. Emma was preceded in death by her daughter, Beverley Aloha Ramsey; brother, John Floyd Bookout, and step-father, Jesse Tate. The family would like to thank Riverview Hospital and Seasons Hospice for their care and kindness. Services will be 10 a.m. Wednesday, at Brown-Butz-Diedring Funeral Service & Crematory with Pastor Darrell Smith with Servant Community Church of Marion officiating. Burial will be at East Maplewood Cemetery. Visitation will be from 4 to 8 pm on Tuesday at the funeral home. Memorial Contributions may be made to the Susan B. Komen Breast Cancer Foundation.
