Emma Elizabeth Teeters

Emma Elizabeth Teeters, 92, Noblesville, former Lapel resident, passed away Saturday, October 26, 2013, at Maple Park Village in Westfield. She was born on October 12, 1921, in Hamilton County, Indiana to Thomas and Margaret (Lehr) McDonald. She graduated from Noblesville High School. Emma was employed at one time at the former Delco Remy division of General Motors and she retired from Riverview Hospital. She was a member of Trinity United Methodist Church in Lapel and was an avid gardener. Emma enjoyed traveling, was an avid reader and thoroughly enjoyed her home. She is survived by two children, Janet Buchfink of Indianapolis and Gary Teeters (companion, Lani Gilliam) of Atlanta; a brother-in-law, Herschel Teeters of Lapel; and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Charles Enoch Teeters; a brother, Herschel (wife, Thelma) McDonald; and three sisters-in-law, Eileen Burris, Alice Tilden, and Joan Teeters. A graveside service will be held at 11:00 am Saturday, November 2, 2013, at Brookside Cemetery in Lapel with Rev. Justin Fisher officiating and burial will follow. Memorial contributions may be made to American Diabetes Association.
