Emily Faye Fry, 64, passed away Friday, September 25, 2020. She was born on January 15, 1956, in Elwood. Emily enjoyed going to church and spending time with her family and friends. She loved sewing, but more than anything, she loved time with her grandchildren. She is survived by her children, Jimmy (wife, Evelyn) of Georgia, Andy Vannatta of Anderson, & Christopher (wife, Rachel) Vannatta of Anderson; grandchildren, Christopher Parrett Vannatta, Brianna Vannatta, Trevor Vannatta, Ashley Gray, Rochelle & Shelby Parrett; several great grandchildren; mother, Delores (Coe) Watson; bonus mother, Annabelle Groover; siblings, Charles (wife, Michelle) Dowler of Ohio, Butch (wife, Altheia) Groover of Pendleton, Brenda (husband, Aaron) Alfrey of Elwood, Debbie Smith of Frankton, Lorretta Thompson of Elwood, Christy Souders of Noblesville, Missy (husband, Bill) Taylor of Frankton, and Anna Michael of Elwood; several nieces, nephews, great-nieces, and great nephews. She was preceded in death by her father, Robert Groover; sister, Betty Groover; brothers, Neil Foor, Paul Groover, & Edward Dowler; and niece, Cheyenne Height. Services will be at 10 am Thursday, October 1, at Brown-Butz-Diedring Funeral Service & Crematory, with Pastor Tim Bailey officiating. Visitation will be from 4-8 pm Wednesday at the funeral home.
