Elizabeth Ann “Liz” Griffith, 90, Anderson, passed away November 25, 2017, at St. Vincent Hospice Center in Indianapolis after an extended illness. She was born February 21, 1927, in Middletown, the daughter of the late Howard and Fannie Reedy. She graduated from Middletown High School and lived all of her life in this area. Liz was a bookkeeper for her husband’s business, Griffith Motors for many years and proudly obtained her private pilot license. She was a member of the former First Friends Church and a 50-year member of Middletown Eastern Star. Liz is survived by her husband, Bob Griffith of Anderson, age 93, to whom she was married for 71 years; three daughters, Nickie (Craig) Barnhart of Zebulon, NC, Penny Wilson of Indianapolis and Nancy (Jack) Mumbower of Atlanta, IN; seven grandchildren, Ben (Becky) Mumbower, Nick (Michelle) Mumbower, Jake (Bethany) Mumbower, Megan Barnhart, Meredith Barnhart, Kyle (Ashley) Ponsler, Kasey (Josh) Phillips, eight great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. The family would like to thank the neighbors of Bob and Liz for all the care and concerns they have shown towards them. She was preceded in death by several brothers and sisters. Services will be at 2:00 P.M. Friday, December 1, 2017 at Brown-Butz-Diedring Funeral Service & Crematory with Pastor Clifton Ashlock officiating. Burial will be in Anderson Memorial Park Cemetery.
