Elizabeth A. Huntzinger, 95, Indianapolis, passed away Tuesday, March 27, 2007, at Saint Vincent Hospice in Indianapolis following a brief illness.
She was born on January 6, 1912, in Noblesville, Indiana to Edward and Eleanor (Hare) Forsythe.
She graduated from Noblesville High School in 1929 and received a BA from Butler University in 1933. She received her MAE from Ball State University.
Elizabeth retired in 1977 from Lapel High School where she had taught Home Economics and was also a guidance counselor.
She was a life-long member of the First Christian Church in Noblesville and a member of the Lapel Rural Garden Club, the Nameless Bridge Club, and the Lapel Lady Lions. She also spent many years as a 4-H leader and was active as a cheerleading sponsor.
She is survived by two daughters, Eleanor (husband, Ravi) Talwar and Carol (husband, Bob) Piganelli both of Carmel; one foster son, Michael Croy of Naples, FL; and two grandsons, Joseph Piganelli of Charleston, SC and Michael Piganelli of Carmel.
She was preceded in death by, her parents and her husband, Fred K. Huntzinger.
Funeral will be held at 2:00 pm Saturday at Noblesville First Christian Church, 16377 Herriman Blvd., Noblesville with Rev. Eric Brotheridge officiating, Burial will follow in Brookside Cemetery, Lapel.
Visitation will be from 4:00 pm to 8:00 pm Friday at Scott E. Hersberger Funeral Home, 1010 North Main Street, Lapel.
Memorial contributions may be made to Noblesville First Christian Church.
