Eleanor Rosalie Garrett-Funk

Eleanor Rosalie "Rosie" Garrett-Funk, 68, Anderson, passed away Friday, October 31, 2014, at Community North Hospital in Indianapolis following a brief illness. She was born on September 4, 1946, in Anderson, Indiana to Albert and Harriett (Fullington) Branch. She graduated from Lapel High School in 1964. Rosie retired from R. M. A. and had also worked at one time at Fullington Electric both in Anderson. She attended Day Break Church in Lapel. She is survived by her husband, Wilfred Duawne Funk; three children, Thomas Rittenberry of New Castle, Michelle Branch Toney of Middletown, Marliesa (husband, Ron) Martin of Panama City, FL; one sister, Beverly (husband, Randy) Hayes of New Castle; six grandchildren, Zach and Nick Rittenberry, Craig and Chase Roberts, and Kody and Garrett O'Bryant; four bonus children, Guina Funk, Lisa (husband, Mike) Gunn, Darlene (husband, Glen) Antoine, and Aaron (wife, Lynlee) Funk; a bonus grandson, Wyatt Funk; and a very special friend, Linda Dillard. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Bobby L. Garrett. A funeral service will be held at 11:00 am Tuesday, November 4, 2014, at Scott E. Hersberger Funeral Home in Lapel with Rev. Richard Cole officiating. Burial will follow in Anderson Memorial Park Cemetery. Visitation will be from 5:00 pm to 8:00 pm Monday, November 3, 2014, at Scott E. Hersberger Funeral Home, 1010 North Main Street, Lapel. Memorial contributions may be made to American Heart Association or the American Diabetes Association.
