Edward L. Eddie Wise

Edward L. Eddie Wise, 72, Lapel, passed away Tuesday, September 18, 2007, at Riverview Hospital in Noblesville following an extended illness.
He was born on October 13, 1934, in Fishersburg, Indiana to Leslie and Helen (Valentine) Wise.
He graduated from Lapel High School in 1952.
Eddie retired in 1993 from Inland Fisher Guide after 28 years of employment and had been employed at the former Dickerson Ford in Lapel.
He attended Trinity United Methodist Church in Lapel. He was a member of the U. A. W. Local 663 and was an avid Cubs fan. He loved being outdoors and spending time with his family and friends.
He is survived by his wife, Nancy (Anderson) Wise; two children, Rick L. (wife, Peggy) Wise of Pendleton, and Connie Bentley of Lapel; four grandchildren, Tyler Wise, Evan Wise, Jordan Wise, and Kelsie Bentley; a sister, Delores (husband, Al)Vanoy of Tavares, FL, and her children, Cindy Wells of North Carolina, and Greg (wife, Mary) Reed of Florida; a nephew, Mitch (wife, Shaleen) Hazelbaker of Noblesville; a nephew, Ron (wife, Barb) Wise of Elwood; brothers and sisters, Willis (wife, Faye) Wise of Lapel, Gene (wife, Phyllis) Wise of Frankton, Phyllis Funk of Lapel, Shirley Whisman of Cicero, and Nancy Hazelbaker of Noblesville; several other nieces and nephews; and many, many good friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents; and one brother, Richard Wise.
Funeral will be held at 2:00 pm Saturday, at Scott E. Hersberger Funeral Home in Lapel with Rev. Evan Lash officiating. Burial will follow in Brookside Cemetery, Lapel.
Visitation will be from 4:00 pm to 8:00 pm Friday and one hour prior to the service Saturday at Scott E. Hersberger Funeral Home, 1010 North Main Street, Lapel.
