Edward A. Fredericks

Edward Adam Fredericks, 75, passed away Saturday, June 17, 2023. He was surrounded by several loved ones and his two daughters.

He was born March 27, 1948, in Anderson, to the late, Wilbert & Phyllis (Gooding) Fredericks. Ed attended St Mary’s school, graduating in 1966. He received his Master’s of Education from Indiana State University. He was a member of Phi Delta Theta Fraternity. In his early years he taught English at Fountain Central High School. He worked with family at Fredericks Inc for over two decades.  He retired in 2017 after working for his brother’s company, Gerry’s Construction. Ed was a member of the Shelby American Automobile Club Indiana Region and The Central Indiana Chevrolet Club. He attended St. Mary Catholic Church and is a former member of Rotary Club & Junior Achievement. Ed loved people. He was known to socialize, travel, and spend time with his grandchildren. He arranged his yearly calendar around the many classic car shows, which he proudly attended.

Ed is survived by his devoted daughters, Margaret “Maggie” (husband, Brian) Naughton & Erika (husband, Dennis) Lewis; grandchildren, Olivia & Nolan Naughton, Garret & Brynn Lewis; siblings, Steve (wife Terri) Fredericks , John Fredericks, Bill (wife Jeanne) Fredericks, Janice (husband Buck) Campfield, Phyllis (husband Robin) Goettman and Karen (husband James) Carr; sister-in-law, Diane Fredericks; special friend, Judy Dick; many car and coffee buddies, best friends Jerry & Loretta Heiniger; and large extended family. He was preceded in death by his wife of 45 years, Lynn (Arbuckle) Fredericks; brother, Gerald “Gerry” Fredericks.

Mass will be at 10:00 am Friday, June 23 at St. Mary Catholic Church, 1115 Pearl Street, Anderson.

Memorial visitation will be from 5-7:00 pm Thursday at Brown-Butz-Diedring Funeral Service & Crematory.
