Edsul Eugene Gene Morris

Edsul Eugene Gene Morris, 83, Noblesville, passed away Thursday, July 21, 2011, at Riverview Hospital in Noblesville following an extended illness.
He was born on November 19, 1927, in Strawtown, Indiana to Grover and Ellen (Reddick) Morris.
He graduated from Walnut Grove High School and served in the U. S. Navy during World War II.
Gene retired in 1980 from the former Firestone Industrial Products in Noblesville.
He is survived by his wife of 64 years, Bonnie (Hersberger) Morris; one son Barry (wife, Kathy) Morris of Noblesville; a daughter-in-law, Kathy Morris Harvey of Noblesville; six grandchildren, Lora (husband, Mark) Eberhart of Noblesville, Lisa Morris of Palm Beach Gardens, FL, Tony (wife, Amanda) Morris of Alexandria, Nathan Morris of Noblesville, Leslie (husband, Rob) Branson of Noblesville, and Lyndsy (husband, Tony) Cain of Cicero; and seven great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents; his son, Rick Morris; two brothers, Cloe Morris and Wayne Morris; and one sister, Lois Nern.
A funeral service will be held at 7:00 pm Monday, July 25, 2011, at Scott E. Hersberger Funeral Home in Lapel with family friend, Richard Barker officiating. Private family burial will be in Oaklawn Memorial Gardens, Indianapolis.
Visitation will be from 4:00 pm to 7:00 pm Monday, July 25, 2011, at Scott E. Hersberger Funeral Home, 1010 North Main Street, Lapel.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may to the Alzheimer's Association, 9135 North Meridian Street, Suite B-4, Indianapolis, Indiana 46209-7109.
