Edith Jane Hale, 84, of Anderson, passed away Sunday, September 14, 2014.
She was born August 22, 1930, in Connersville to the late Gordon and Nora (Alcorn) Richardson. Jane graduated from Middletown High School in 1948 and also from Indiana Business College. She was a member of Sixth Street Christian Church in Middletown, where she married Bill on October 29, 1949. They lived in Germany during Bill’s service in the Army. They had also lived in Anderson, Pendleton, but mostly in Middletown. She was a Senior Buyer in the purchasing department at Guide until retiring in 1987, after 35 years.
She is survived by her husband of 65 years, Bill L. Hale; son, Jay (wife, Halline) Hale of Oviedo, Florida; daughter, Merilee (husband, Mike) Bluel of Pendleton; grandchildren, Conner Hale of Florida, Will and Faith Bluel both of Pendleton, and Katey Bluel of Rowlett, Texas; niece, Jeanne (husband, Dr. James) Greer of Sterling Heights, Michigan; nephew, Gordon Lee (Karen) Richardson of Anderson; and great nephew, Robert Greer.
She was preceded in death by sisters, Eunice Boone and Helen Bienert; brother, Gail Richardson; nephews, Jack Boone & Jimmie Richardson; and niece Billie Bienert.
Services will be at 10 am Saturday at Brown-Butz-Diedring Funeral Service & Crematory with Rev. Maynard Powell officiating. Burial will be at Anderson Memorial Park Cemetery.
Visitation is from 6-8 pm Friday at the funeral home.
