Eddy K. Russell

Eddy K. Russell, 69, Middletown, passed away Thursday, October 3, 2019, at home following an extended illness.
He was born on September 9, 1950, in Pennington Gap, Virginia to Walter and Mary Ruth (Heck) Russell.
Eddy was graduated from Lapel High School in 1969.
He retired from the former Allison Transmission of General Motors in Indianapolis after over 36 years of employment.
Eddy was an avid hunter and loved spending time with his children and grandchildren.
He is survived by his wife of 39 years, Nancy; four children, Brian, Jacob (April), Hope, and Jordon (Kari); five grandchildren, Keegan (Allison), Evan, Kenydi, Carmin, Reagan; two brothers, Carl (Patty) and Frank (Cara); and his sister-in-law, Connie Hudson; and long-time friend, Gary (Teresa) Bond.
Eddy was preceded in death by his parents; one sister Susie; and three grandchildren, Owen, Norah, and Harper.
A funeral service will be held at 6:00 PM on Monday, October 7, 2019, at Hersberger-Bozell Funeral Home, 1010 North Main Street, Lapel with Rev. Gary McCaslin officiating.
Visitation will be from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM Monday, October 7, 2019, at the funeral home.
Memorial contributions may be made to Alzheimers Association or the American Cancer Society.
