Eddie Rex Wyant

Eddie Rex Wyant, 77, Lapel, passed away Tuesday, May 26, 2015, at his home. He was born on March 30, 1938, in Fortville, Indiana to Edgar and Lena (McClintock) Wyant. He graduated from Lapel High School in 1956, and had served in the Indiana National Guard. Eddie retired from the former Guide Lamp division of General Motors in Anderson after over 30 years of employment as a tool and die maker. He was interested in manufacturing technology, welding, farming, and billiards. He was a member of the Trinity United Methodist Church in Lapel; the Lapel Fraternal Order of Eagles Aerie 4323; and the U. A. W. Local 663. He is survived by eight children, Lorraine Wyant of Albuquerque, NM, Lary Wyant of Lapel, Wayne (wife, Rosalie) Wyant of Clemson, SC, Karl (wife, Lydija) Wyant of Duluth, MN, April Wyant (Tony Lello) of Albuquerque, NM, Victor Wyant (wife, Gabriela Perez Carrillo) of Six Mile SC, Kenneth (wife, Colette) Wyant of Cadiz, and Raymond Wyant (Renee) of Frankton; five grandchildren, Sadie, Benjamin, and Samuel Wyant, Tobias and Dylan Wyant; a sister, Wilma (husband, John) Redding of Marion. He was preceded in death by his parents. A funeral service will be held at 11:00 am Saturday, June 13, 2015, at Trinity United Methodist Church in Lapel with Pastor Doug Barton officiating. Burial will follow in Brookside Cemetery, Lapel. Visitation will be 10:00 am to 11:00 am Saturday, June 13, 2015, at Trinity United Methodist Church, 7th and Walnut Streets, Lapel.
