E. Evelyn Horton

E. Evelyn Horton, 90, Fishersburg, passed away Saturday, March 5, 2005, at Riverview Hospital in Noblesville following an extended illness. She was born on September 28, 1914 in Sheridan, Indiana to Gale and Stella (Paschal) Cottingham. She retired from Brockway Glass in Lapel and was a member of the Ford Street Nomads. She is survived by three children, Carl (wife, Helene) Horton of Ridgefield, WA, Mona (husband, Jack) Pettigrew of Fishersburg, and Marilyn Barker of Cicero; one sister, Carolyn (husband, Jake) Renner of Fishersburg; ten grandchildren, Cheryl Rule of Vancouver, WA, Dan Horton of Beaverton, OR, Cristina Foushee of Woodland, WA, Steven Horton of Edmond, OK, Bruce Pettigrew of Colorado Springs, CO, Vicki Johnson of Albany, KY, Darrell Pettigrew of Cicero, Amy McFarland of Cicero, Michael Barker of Lapel, and Matthew Barker of Cicero, sixteen great-grandchildren, Brittany Rule, Desire Rule, Gabriel Rule, Mary Rule, Carissa Horton, Ryan Clark, Savannah Horton, Abby Pettigrew, Kristin Pettigrew, Kaitlin Pettigrew, Kelsey Hopkins, Jayson McFarland, Jordan McFarland, Kaley McFarland, Nathan Barker, Aubre' Barker, and special friends, Steve Kirby and Crista Swinford. Services will be held at 2:00 pm, Tuesday, March 8, 2005, at Scott E. Hersberger Funeral home in Lapel with Rev. Raymond Hood officiating. Burial will follow at the Brookside Cemetery, Lapel. Visitation will be from 12:00 noon to 2:00 pm, Tuesday, March 8, 2005, at the Scott E. Hersberger Funeral Home, 1010 North Main Street, Lapel. Memorial contributions may be made to the St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105
