Dwight E. Carmichael, 75, passed away Thursday, October 21, 2021, at his residence surrounded by his loved ones. He was born October 28, 1945, in Indianapolis to the late Bryan & Gladys (King) Carmichael. Dwight graduated from Maxwell High School and then went on to farm for over 40 years. He was a veteran of the US Army, having served in Vietnam. When not farming he enjoyed modeling cars, solving crossword puzzles, watching game shows, and cheering on IU & Colts. Dwight is survived by his wife, Eleonore C. (Humbert) Carmichael; daughters, Tina (husband, Mark) Reeves & Denise (husband, Matthew Walsh) Elliott; brother, Dennis (wife, Marjorie) Carmichael; sisters, Anita Dusang & Marsha (husband, Paul) Veach; four grandchildren, Brandon (wife, Nina) Elliott, Brooke (companion, Blake Candler) Elliott, Kaitlin & Megan Reeves; two step grandchildren, Destinee & Devon Foster; two great grandchildren, Houston Elliott & Emerson Candler. He was preceded in death by his brother-in-law, Raymond Dusang. Private services were entrusted to Condo & St. Pierre Funeral Service & Crematory, Wilkinson.
