Dorothy Moore

Dorothy C. Moore, 77, of Anderson, passed away June 10, 2015 at her home surrounded by her family.

She was born in Anderson on September 4, 1937, to the late Harry and Rheba Smith. She was a homemaker and a life long Anderson resident.

Dorothy was a member of the Chesterfield Christian Church.

She is survived by her husband of 60 years, Thomas Moore of Anderson; three daughters, Catherine Moore of Fishers, Paula Moore-Wayton of Los Angeles, CA. and Lisa (Moore) (husband, Tom) Benefiel of Anderson; son-in-law, Brian Hoskins of Pendleton; seven grandchildren, Shane Wayton, Connor Wayton, Adam (wife, Lucy) Benefiel, Alexandra Benefiel, Seth Hoskins, Jesse Hoskins and Tyler Hoskins; one great granddaughter, Ruthie Jane Benefiel; sister, Virginia Smith of Anderson; brother, Harold Smith of Anderson; and several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Harry and Rheba Smith; her daughter, Laura Lynn (Moore) Hoskins; two brothers and two sisters.

Services will be 11:00 a.m. Saturday at Chesterfield Christian Church with Rev. Ned Clark officiating. Entombment will be at Anderson Memorial Park Cemetery.

Visitation will be 9:30-11:00 a.m. Saturday at the church.

Memorial contributions may be made to the National Kidney Foundation.
