Dorothy Marie Jarrett

Dorothy Marie Jarrett, 97, passed away Thursday July 27, 2023. She was a resident of Pendleton.
She was born May 26, 1926 in Bear Lake, PA to Charles and Maria Tauferner Dillenbeck. She married Jack W. Jarrett on June 19, 1949 in Pendleton. He preceded her in death March 31, 2009.
Survivors include three sons, Jay (Brenda) Jarrett of Pendleton, Dale (Connie) Jarrett of Anderson, and Dean Jarrett of Garden City, MI; one sister, Florence Lawson of Pendleton; six grandchildren and five great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by parents, husband, and one sister, Audrey Wolf.
Dorothy was a 1944 graduate of Pendleton High School, and was a graduate of Nurse Cadet Corps in 1947.
She was a Registered Nurse at the TB Sanitorium in Indianapolis for several years.
Dorothy was a long time member of the Pendleton First United Methodist Church. She was a volunteer at St. John’s since 1982, and was involved with the Victoria’s Guild. She was also a member of the Order of the Eastern Star, #138.
She loved vacationing in Myrtle Beach SC, and wintered in Fort Myers Beach, FL for 20 years. In addition to volunteering and traveling, she enjoyed playing golf.
Visitation will take place from 10-12 Noon, Wednesday, August 2, 2023, at Wilson St. Pierre Funeral Service & Crematory, Lahm Chapel, 211 E. State Street, Pendleton. Pastor John Groves will officiate a funeral service to follow at 12 Noon. She will be laid to rest at Grove Lawn Cemetery, Pendleton.
