Dorothy C. Reed, 94, passed away Thursday, February 26, 2015 at St. Vincent Anderson Regional Hospital.

She was born March 5, 1920 in Newport, KY, the daughter of the late Robert and Gretchen (Listerman) Bennett. On October 19, 1938 she married Orville P. Reed in Ft. Thomas, KY and he preceded her in death on April 20, 1979. After spending 55years in Ft. Thomas, she moved to Madison County, briefly living in Markleville and then Anderson, where she has lived for the last 34 years and attended New Life Church of the Nazarene. She was an avid card player and loved BINGO.

Dorothy is survived by her son, Richard Reed; granddaughters, Cara McQueary and Laura Porter; grandsons, James McQueary, Scott Wagner, Zach Reed and Kyle Reed; and several great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren.

In addition to Orville, she was preceded in death by her daughters Phyllis Jean Wagner and Shirley JoAnne McQueary.

Services will be at 12 Noon Tuesday at Brown-Butz-Diedring Funeral Service & Crematory with Pastor Alvin Dayton officiating. Burial will be at McCray Cemetery, Wilkinson.

Visitation will be from 10am-12Noon Tuesday at the funeral home.
