Dorothy Ann Ramsey

Dorothy Ann (Zirkelbach) Ramsey, 91, of Anderson, passed away on March 29, 2020 at Bethany Pointe Health Campus. She was born on September 29, 1928 in Perkinsville to the late Edward and Florence (Dickey) Zirkelbach. Dorothy was employed by the insurance department of Anderson Banking Company for 23 years of service. She retired from PNC Banking Company after many bank ownership revisions. She was a member of St. Ambrose Catholic Church, Anderson Association of Insurance Women, and Holy Name Society at St. Ambrose. She is survived by her son, Robert Edward (Virginia Faye) Ramsey of Anderson; Grandchildren, Robert Alan Ramsey, Amber Renee’ Carroll, Amanda Yevette Moore; five great granddaughters; two great grandsons; one great great grandson on the way; special niece, Jane Hosier, and several nieces and nephews. Dorothy was preceded in death by her husband, Robert “Bob” Ramsey whom she married on June 18, 1948; four sisters and two brothers. A Private Family Farewell will be held at Brown-Butz-Diedring Funeral Service & Crematory. A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date due to the COVID-19 virus.
