Dorothie Powers

Dorothie Marguerite Powers was born on July 22^nd, 1938. She was a beloved mother, grandmother, and great grandmother. She died peacefully in her sleep on September 9^th, 2022. She was 84 years old. Dorothie worked at Warner Press Books in Anderson as a type of setter for twenty years. She was an avid reader and loved to visit the public library. She also enjoyed singing and going on long walks. She was an active member of Saint Mary’s Church in Anderson. Dorothie is survived by her children Michael Powers, Deborah Phelps, Christina Powers, Beverly Powers Martin and son-in-law Scott Martin, Katherine Brown and son-in-law Marc Brown and Ann Olexa and son-in-law Joe Olexa. She had nine grandchildren, and five great grandchildren. She is especially remembered for her kindness, fun spirit, and strength. Her wishes were to have a small ceremony with her children.
