Doris Witte, 91, passed away July 13, 2024, at her daughter, Brenda's home in Anderson. She was born on February 9, 1933, in Manteno, Illinois to the late Gilbert and Mildred (Butler) Piper.

Doris graduated from Manteno High School in Illinois. She retired from Community Hospital as an OB Nurse.

Doris was a member of Edgewood Baptist Church and the Keenagers. She loved to play Euchre; loved spending time with her family and her dog, Abby.

Doris is survived by a son, Brian Witte; two daughters, Brenda (Mike) Owens and Barbara (Mark) Miller; a sister, Ruth Anderson; nine grandchildren including, Eric Owens, Brandon Owens and Kelsey Miller; and fourteen great-grandchildren. 

She was preceded in death by her spouse, Gerald Witte; a brother, Duane Piper; and a grandson, Tyler Bolander.

A funeral service will be held 1:00 pm, Thursday, July 18, 2024, with Pastor Bob Mahl officiating at Bozell Funeral Homes, Brown-Butz-Diedring Funeral Chapel, 515 East 53rd Street, Anderson, Indiana 46013, with a visitation prior from 11am-1pm. A nurse's honor guard service will be held. Burial will follow in Anderson Memorial Park Cemetery. 

Memorial contributions may be made to Madison County Humane Society.
