Doris Jean Cleaver

Doris Jean Cleaver, 90, formerly of Anderson, passed away June 26, 2016, in Murfreesboro, Tenn.

She was born June 17, 1926, in Anderson, the daughter of the late Lester and Rosa (Benzenbower) Rector.

Doris retired from Delco-Remy after 30 years of employment where she worked as a secretary. She had been a member of the American Legion Auxiliary, Lady Elks, and Order of the Eastern Star of Middletown.

She is survived by her daughter, Kyle Smith of Murfreesboro, Tenn; grandchildren, Gina Elliott, Michael Harvey, and Cameron Harvey; and several great grandchildren.

Doris was preceded in death by her, 1st husband, Walter G. “Pat” Sherman; 2nd husband, Robert Cleaver; and daughter, Regina “Rickie” Wood.

Services will be 1 p.m. Thursday, June 30, 2016 at Brown-Butz-Diedring Funeral Service & Crematory with Rev. Steve Gettinger officiating. Burial will be at Miller Cemetery in Middletown.

Visitation will be from 11:00 A.M. until time of the services at the funeral home.
