Donna Jo Jones

Donna Jo (Staats) Jones, 66, Pendleton, passed away on Saturday, September 16, 2017 at St. Vincent Hospital in Indianapolis. She was born in Indianapolis on October 13, 1950 to the late John Donald and Frances (Field) Staats.Donna graduated from Pendleton High School in 1968. She was a hairdresser locally for over 40 years. Donna loved animals, birds, Jimmy Buffett, the beach, the Purdue Boilermakers, Indianapolis Colts, and especially her boys.She is survived by her son, Jason (Monica) Jones of Pendleton; grandchildren, Benjamin and Andrew Jones, and brothers, Jim and John Staats.Donna was preceded in death by a daughter, Jamie Jo Young.The family would like to thank Dr. Thomas Bright, Pete Bright, Dr. Mahidhara and the staff at St. Vincent Hospital Indianapolis for all of their care.A Celebration of Life will be held on Thursday at 7:00 pm at Wilson St. Pierre, Lahm Chapel, 211 E. State St., Pendleton, IN 46064 with Pastor Claude Creel officiating.Visitation will be from 4:00 to 7:00 pm on Thursday. Cremation will take place.Memorial Contributions may be made to Frosty and Friends Exotic Bird Rescue and/or the Pendleton Emergency Ambulance.
