Donald S. “Don” Reighard, 81, formerly of Pendleton, Indiana passed away suddenly on September 7, 2017.Born to Mary and Sam Reighard on March 29, 1936, he lived in the Pendleton area most of his life.Don enjoyed fishing and grooming his yard. A member of Pendleton First United Methodist Church, he sang in the choir and participated in many church activities. After moving to Arizona, he became associated with the Sons of the American Revolution. Don was president of his Chapter at the time of his passing.Don was preceded in death by his parents; his brother, David; his son, David Alan; his granddaughter, Amanda; and his great-grandson, Carter.Married to his high school sweetheart, Ann for 58 years. They have three daughters, Denise, Dee Ann and Darci; seven grandchildren, Kaleigh, Dillon, Lauren, Emily, Jacob, Masen and Abigail; one great-granddaughter, Lyrik Jolene; also surviving is his sister, Nancy Wynant and family.Don was very close to his constant four legged companion, Hopi. Services will be held at 11 a.m., Thursday, September 21, 2017 at Wilson St. Pierre Funeral Service and Crematory, Lahm Chapel, 211 E. State St., Pendleton, Indiana 46064 with Reverend Jean Brindel officiating. Burial with military honors will follow in Anderson Memorial Park Cemetery, Anderson, Indana.Visitation from 5 to 8 p.m., Wednesday, September 20, 2017 and from 10 to 11 a.m., Thursday, September 21, 2017 at Lahm Chapel, Pendleton.In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the Pendleton Historical Museum, P.O.
