Donald “Don” Charles Jackson, 90, passed away Sunday, June 14, 2020 surrounded by his family at his Charlottesville residence. He was born August 10, 1929 in Ohio to the late, Carl & Margaret (Chance) Jackson. He was a graduate of Greenfield High School and received his master’s in education from Butler University. Don was a teacher and school administrator for over 60 years, having retired in 1993, only to go back and assist until the age of 85. He taught at Maxwell, Hancock Central, Warren Township, & Greenfield Central High Schools. He was a member of Greenfield Christian Church. Don is survived by his wife of 65 years, Betty (Frost) Jackson; children, Jeff (wife, Jayne) Jackson, Mike (wife, Angie) Jackson, & Stacey (husband, Bryan) Fout; 8 grandchildren, Lindsay (husband, Brett) Bubalo, Emily (husband, Kurt) Denney, Erin (husband, Derek) Harmon, Alyssa Jackson, Samantha (husband, Cody) Smith, Katie Fout, Sarah Fout, Conner (wife, Jasmine) Cook, & Sarah Ray Cook; 11 great grandchildren; brother-in-law, Bob (wife, Bev) Frost; and nieces, Donna Roberts & Diane Edwards. He was preceded in death by daughter, Lisa Jackson Cook; brother & sister-in-law, Richard & Mavern Jackson. Private services are entrusted to Condo & St. Pierre Funeral Service & Crematory, Wilkinson. Burial will be at McCray Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Greenfield Central Athletics.
