Donald J. Holland

ANDERSON- Donald J. Holland, 90, passed away at Ascension St. Vincent Anderson Hospital on October 13, 2023

He was born October 20, 1932 in Anderson, Indiana to Russell and Blanche Holland and was a lifelong Pendleton and Anderson resident.

Don was a 1952 graduate of Pendleton High School and proudly served his country in the US Army. He served his Lord since his mid 20’s and in recent years attended Whetstone Christian Church. Don loved his IU Hoosiers and Cincinnati Reds.

He retired from Guide Lamp in Anderson in 1987 following 36 years of service.

Don was preceded in death by his parents; and siblings, Betty Hunt, Barbara Mercer and Francis Holland.

He is survived by his wife of 68 years, Joyce; children Kevin (Brenda) Holland and Kerri Holland; grandchildren, Lindsay (Peter) Chaille, Renatta Holland and Jody Lee Holland; great grandchildren, Luke Chaille, Grace Chaille, Charlotte Chaille, Beckham Holland and Arabella Holland; and many nieces and nephews.

Services will be held at 1 p.m., Thursday, October 19, 2023 at Wilson St. Pierre Funeral Service and Crematory, Lahm Chapel, Pendleton with Rev. Fred Stevens officiating. Burial will follow in Grove Lawn Cemetery, Pendleton.

Visitation from 12 to 1 p.m., Thursday, October 19, 2023 at Lahm Chapel.
