Donald Gene Turney

Donald Gene “Donnie” Turney, III, 18, passed away Wednesday, February 25, 2015, at St. Vincent Hospital, Indianapolis following a sudden illness.

He was born May 14, 1996 in Anderson and has lived in Madison County his entire life.

Donnie attended Elwood High School where he played football. He also enjoyed going to the Elwood YMCA, his time playing All-Star Little League, NASCAR racing, Colts football, playing cards, fishing and hunting. He was also very creative, talented in both drawing and writing.

Donnie is survived by his parents, Jennifer (Lyne) Turney of Elwood and Donald (fianc�e, Sherri Armfield) Turney of Anderson; siblings, Kristin Turney, Ashley Turney, Kyle Turney, Kaylyne Turney, Brock Turney, Candace Turney, Coty Adams, Kali Gill, Maryann Armfield and Jacob Moore; and several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Shelia Hampton and Jason Hickman; paternal grandparents, Latricia Turney and Donald Turney, Sr.; and sister Amber Dawyn Adams-Turney.

Services will be at 1pm Monday at Brown-Butz-Diedring Funeral Service & Crematory with Rev. Gary Klinger officiating. Burial will be at East Maplewood Cemetery.

Visitation will be from 11am- 1pm Monday at the funeral home.
