Dillard Cole

April 25, 1945 — July 17, 2015

Pastor Dillard Cole, 70, Noblesville, passed away Friday, July 17, 2015, at Community Hospital of Anderson following a six month illness. He was born on April 25, 1945, in Richmond, Kentucky to Thomas and Leola (King) Cole. Dillard had been a Baptist minister for 54 years and was currently serving as pastor of the Bethel Baptist Church in Lapel and before that he served at Kennard Baptist Church for 17 years. He enjoyed being outdoors especially fishing and gardening. He is survived by his wife of 51 years, Barbara Ann (Huff) Cole; one son, John (wife, Suzanne) Cole of Fishers; one granddaughter, Lillian Grace Cole; two brothers, Ray (wife, Joyce) Cole of Lexington, KY and Harold (wife, Jeannie) Cole of Berea, KY; three sisters, Mary Lee (husband, Bobby) Conner of Richmond, KY, Kathy Lowery of Richmond, KY, and Beverly (husband, Jerry) Gumm of Lexington, KY; several aunts; and many nieces, and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents; three brothers, Roy, Tom, Jr., and Homer Cole. A funeral service will be held at 2:00 pm Monday, July 20, 2015, at Bethel Baptist Church in Lapel with Brother Eddie Davis officiating. Burial will be in Pilot Knob Baptist Cemetery, Big Hill, KY. Visitation will be from 9:00 am to 2:00 pm Monday, July 20, 2015, at Bethel Baptist Church, 3308 South State Road 13, Lapel. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Bethel Baptist Church Building Fund, 3308 South State Road 13, Lapel, Indiana 46051 or to Hospice.
