Diane Ruth Brown

Diane Ruth Brown, 68, of Anderson, IN passed away on September 30, 2021 after a brief illness. Diane was born on September 14, 1953 in Ewing, Virginia to Ralph and Ruth (Burke) Stapleton. She married the love of her life, Fred Brown, in 1972 in Anderson, IN. She was a route carrier for the Herald Bulletin for 28 years. She loved playing bingo. Gardening, flowers, QVC, and watching game shows. Diane enjoyed cooking and she was amazing at it. She loved the show, “Days of Our Lives,” and hasn’t missed a single episode since 1965. Most importantly, she loved her family and spending time with her family. Diane will be dearly missed by her children, Chad (Brenda) Brown and Chelsea (boyfriend, John Hooley) Brown; her grandchildren, Sierra and Rebecca Brown; her brothers, Jerry Stapleton and Joe Stapleton; her sister, Joan Gwynn; her beloved friend, Joe Whitehead; and her furbaby, Fieston. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband of 46 years, Fred; and her brother, Tommy Stapleton. The visitation will be on Wednesday, October 6, 2021 from 11 a.m. until 1 p.m. at Brown-Butz-Diedring Funeral Service & Crematory, 515 E. 53rd St., Anderson, IN 46013. The graveside ceremony will be held at 1:45 p.m. at Mount Zion Lutheran Cemetery in Anderson, IN. All memorial contributions in Diane’s memory, may be gifted to St. Jude Children’s Hospital, 262 Danny Thomas Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
