Diane P. Murphy

Diane P. Murphy, 71, of Indianapolis, passed away March 23, 2024, at her residence in Indianapolis following an extended illness.

She was born on January 9, 1953, in Richland, Washington to Dallas and Oma (Root) Land.

She retired from General Devices in Indianapolis. After retirement, she worked for Walmart.

Diane enjoyed drinking beer and playing music. She enjoyed her family, camping, and horseback riding. She mostly enjoyed listening to her brother Harold and her husband play music in the backyard.

Diane is survived by her twin brother, Duane Land; and a sister, Ruby Cornett; seven grandchildren, Sierra, Thomas Jr., Janessa, Jaelyn, Destiny, Stepanie, and Dallas. She is also survived by several great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Steve Murphy; two sons, Thomas (TJ) Mullins, and Dallas Murphy; parents; brother, Harold Land; and a sister, Cathy Miller.

A funeral service will be held at 1:00 PM on Friday, March 29, 2024, at Bozell Funeral Homes, 1010 North Main Street Lapel, Indiana 46051. Burial will follow at Brookside Cemetery in Lapel.

Visitation will take place from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM on Friday at the funeral home.

Memorial contributions may be made to St. Jude's Childrens Hospital.
