Diane K. Daoust

June 16, 1947 — June 4, 2023

Diane Kaye Daoust, 75, entered into Heaven on June 4, 2023.  She was surrounded by loved ones at her home after an extended illness.  She was born June 16, 1947 in Anderson, Indiana.

Diane was a mother, grandmother, sister, daughter, wife, friend and so much more.  She was an amazing hostess, a lover of history and a natural teacher with a treasure trove of information to share.  She graduated from Madison Heights High School and attended Indiana State University with the dream of becoming a teacher.  She was fiercely loyal to her family and friends.  A loving mother who taught her children about high expectations, responsibility, self-reliance and the value of family relationships.  She was a doting grandmother and was so proud of each granddaughter and grandson.  She was a devoted wife and embraced her extended Daoust family with love.

Diane enjoyed winters at her beloved Bonita Beach Club and summers at Lake Wawasee.  Although she was a true lake girl at heart.  She loved sharing these special places with her family and friends and created so many memories that we will all hold forever in our hearts.  Her love of travel overseas was a true passion – too many fabulous places to list.  Her entire adult life was not only spent loving and supporting those she held dear but also was extremely active in philanthropy to give back to her community through Edgerle and Psi Iota Xi just to name a few.  She meant so much to so many.  She was so very loved and will be deeply missed.

She leaves behind daughter Kelly Shannon, son Chris Daoust, daughter Rachel Frum (Brett) and daughter Sarah Noel (Scott).  Nine grandchildren, Jacob Shannon (Kayleigh), Maddie Shannon, Griffin Frum, Grayson Frum, Grant Frum, Kendall Keyton, Nolan Keyton, Andrew Noel and Ellie Noel, sister Rita Drews (Ed), sister in law Suzanne Daoust (Mike), nieces and nephews.  Those who have passed before her include, husband Dick Daoust, son Jonathan Daoust,  parents, Max and Bettie Jo Risinger and grandparents.  A very special thank you to Joanne Smith her hospice nurse of which her children could not have done without and all Mom’s angels who helped care, love and support her through not only her illness but her entire life – you all know who you are.

A memorial service will take place on June 17th at Brown-Butz-Diedring Funeral Service & Crematory, 515 E. 53rd Street, Anderson, Indiana with visitation from 11 am to 3 pm followed by the service at 3 pm.  In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Ascension St. Vincent Anderson Foundation (ASV), 2015 Jackson St ,.
