Diane "Dye Dye" M. Simmons, 60, of Alexandria, passed away on February 9, 2025. She was born on September 13, 1964 in Newburyport, Massachusetts, Diane was the beloved daughter of Leila (Horr) Eaton and Richard Eaton. Diane worked at Action Air doing clerical work. Diane was a "jill of all trades". She loved karaoke, golfing, drawing, riding Harley Davidson motorcycles, baking, cooking, and doing crafts with her grandchildren. She loved music and playing her acoustic guitar. Diane never knew a stranger, she loved every single person equally and had the biggest heart of gold. Most importantly, she loved her grandchildren. Diane will be remembered for her ability to make everyone laugh and her vivacious spirit. She was truly one of a kind.

Diane will be dearly missed by her children, Jesse (Rene') Delp, Anthony (Brianne) Barbieri, and Starlett (Joshua Hurlock) Delp; step-son, Kelton (Emily) Simmons; special friend, Mark Simmons; grandchildren, Raina Delp, Alexia Peabody, Delaney Grace, Noah Barbieri, Colton Madden, Kyleigh Hurlock, Braxton Simmons, Kason Hurlock, Natalie Simmons, Amara Barbieri, Gatlin Simmons, Everett Barbieri, and Kallie Simmons; siblings, Rose Coulter, David Scripture, Steven Scripture, Chuckie Eaton, Michael Eaton and Bebo; sisters-in-law, Karen Clanton and Rita (Jay) Young; In-laws, Pops and Mama T; aunt, Lucy Knowles; cousins, Sheryl (John) Gillen and Debbie (Butch); best friends, Kara Scolaro and Stephanie (Mike) Hilton and their children; grand-dog (AKA, "nana's girl"), Paisley Hurlock; numerous nieces and nephews; and all her friends at OB's Bar and Grill.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, David Delp; siblings, Lori Scripture, Debbie Scripture, Bobby Scripture, Bonnie Eaton, Glo Eaton, Tara Eaton, Rickie Eaton, Jeffrey Scripture, Shirley Eaton, Kerri Eaton, and Patty Eaton; and niece Sherry Lynn Herbert.
